Installed at various locations the RT-4201 Power Generation Station. This system supports cameras (both color/day night and Infrared), wireless systems (both analog and TCP/IP) and lighting. These systems are in use for various customers.
Maritime Vessel Tracking System
Georgia Ports Authority/United States Coast Guard
RT installed the first AIS (Automated Ship Information System) in the port of Savannah allowing compliance with USCG mandate. All vessels greater than 200 dead weight tons should have an AIS pinging device to transmit information such as vessel name, flag of nation, destination, etc. If a vessel does not have this device, it will not be allowed to enter the port. The system also allows the respective parties to monitor this traffic at there respective command centers. This helps the Bar Pilots and USCG to make arrangements to meet the vessels at the Pilots Station off shore of Tybee.
Savannah Bar Pilots
Installed a vessel tracking system for the Bar Pilots to capture AIS information at Tybee at transmit it to the office downtown. They then view this for the purpose of tracking vessels.
El Paso Energy – Southern LNG Facility
Installed a vessel tracking system in order for purpose of tracking the LNG vessels as they enter the harbor. This AIS system is then fed back to the main control room for viewing by the control room operator. Installed RT-2201 solar powered rail sensors at the Georgia Ports Authority. This system detects intruders at rail entrances and sends a signal back to a command center. Installed at various locations the RT-4201 Power Generation Station. This system supports cameras (both color/day night and Infrared), wireless systems (both analog and TCP/IP) and lighting. These systems are in use for various customers.
Integrated Site Security Solutions
BASF Chemical
This project involved video monitoring as well bio-metrics access control system networked to the main gate and Safety Director. The video system monitors the rail yard, main gate and warehouse. An intercom, panic alarm and evacuation enunciation system is to be installed in late 2007
Capital Cargo – Savannah
Designed and installed new 25 station Avaya phone system, complete video security system for warehouse, alarm system, access points throughout the warehouse for hand held scanners, complete wiring for offices and a complete air compressor system for warehouse
Chatham County Health Department
Completed design and installation of a comprehensive security,
Evacuation and panic system for the main complex on Eisenhower

Medical Arts, Midtown Building.
Chatham County Sheriff’s Dept. (G-8)
Installed a system of cameras in various locations for monitoring areas for the President’s visit during the G-8 summit in Sea Island, Ga. These images are collected, digitally recorded and fed back to the Joint Operations Center located at the Administration office and also to the Main Courthouse command center. Several units were wireless and several were fiber based.
Chatham County Juvenile Detention Complex
Installed a security upgrade for the jail, holding cells, offices and courtroom complex. Designed and installed a new command center to handle all the monitoring. Cameras were added both inside and the outside perimeter.
Chatham County Police Dept
Installed cameras at various locations including Lake Mayer parking lots, the pool complex and at the Soccer field on Sally Mood Drive. These cameras are sent back to 911 call center on Chatham Parkway and are digitally recorded. A camera at the “Rails & Trails” biking trail on Hwy 80 on the road to Tybee is fed back wireless to the Bull River Marina and put on the LAN from there.
Georgia Pacific – Rincon Plant
Installed 85 Cisco access points throughout the plant and common areas on the plant site. This new 2.4ghz system replaced an older 900mhz system. These radios cover approximately 4 million square feet. We also extended the coverage in areas where there were no radios with the old system by installing solar power generating stations at the locations to power the new radios.
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Lake Hartwell Dam Phase I
Completed installation of a security system for the upper dam pump station and parts of the main dam. This included a VistaScape security system for perimeter areas, installed a Pelco camera head in system with cameras at the Clemson Pump Station that is fed back to the Hartwell Control Room via a T1. Installed a security alarm system for the pump station building and a new 40ft. automatic gate with access control. Installed a new 42” plasma at the control room with complete controls.
Gulfstream – Savannah Plant
Designed and installed parking lot cameras. Customer was having problems with cars being “keyed” and stolen. RT designed a solution for the customer and using both hardwired and wireless systems.
FBI (G-8)
Supplied a camera atop the Tallmadge Bridge located over the Savannah River in Savannah, Georgia with a feed back to the FBI command Center. This gave the FBI real time images of the bridge in case of an incident during the President’s visit during the G-8 Summit.
Savannah International Trade and Convention Center
Being the media site for the G-8 as well the host site for the President’s final press conference, we provided support for the existing video monitoring system, and installed VistaScape for perimeter support. We also brought in the STS millimeter wave short range radar system for the Savannah River and the International Trade Center.
United States Coast Guard (G-8)
Set up computer VPN connections to connect selective cameras for viewing at the G8 command center. These included images from the GPA as well as the cameras from the Coast Guard MSO Savannah.
Georgia Ports Authority
Due to the expansive area to cover for the port terminals RT developed and successfully implemented a fiber-wireless video network solution rather than cut up asphalt and bury new fiber-optic cable. The system uses cameras, digital storage, fiber-optic cable, and stereo Doppler sensors for all rail crossing. To cover the riverfront RT installed Infrared cameras stationed on Hutchinson Island where no power is available. Solar units power all cameras and shoot the signal back wireless to the GPA Command Center. New cameras were also added at both Colonels Island and Mayors Point at the GPA Brunswick facility. Remote Technology was also able to find a cost effective solution for the GPA when their T1 kept failing between the Garden City Terminal and
Ocean Terminal. The solution was to install a 5.3GHz wireless LAN connection from the Main Building at OT to the top of the Talmadge
Bridge and then 6 miles from the bridge to the Main Administration
Building at the Garden City Terminal. By having the T1 and the wireless
LAN the GPA is now able to have increased speed on the LAN as well as a redundant backup.
Colonial Oil
Installed a camera upgrade and command center addition at the Colonial Oil Main Terminal and plants #2 and #3. In addition RT installed and connected 22 new cameras to a new fiber optic backbone between plants 1, 2 &3. All cameras were brought back to the new command center to be monitored by in house personnel. RT also installed a new bio-metrics access control system for their customers and vendors at the facilities for greater control and added security.
International Paper
Installed bio-metric network access control system for all construction employees that enter and exit the IP mill site. The system we chose was the Ingersall-Rand Biometric Hand reader for this application. This is the only bio-metric reader certified for use in all Nuclear Power Plants by the DOE. These systems allow for the verification of the employee’s attendance in the Savannah plant and then it is reconciled to work orders at the home office in Memphis via the company LAN.
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Savannah District)

Existing fiber as well as three new wireless systems in the corners of the student parking lot were used.
United States Coast Guard Marine Safety Office Savannah
Designed and installed the command center at MSO Savannah. Through our “Open Architecture” software the USCG can monitor cameras from the Georgia Ports Authority and other stakeholders along the Savannah River.
